NAME
 rtfm -- Acronym for Read The F*cking Manual

USAGE
 Person1: "How do I...?"
 Person2: "RTFM"
 Person1: "huh?"

DESCRIPTION
 RTFM is often used as a response to technical questions. Unfortunately,
 many people don't even know how to *find* the manual, let alone
 understand it.

 If someone tells you to RTFM, they could mean any of the
 following:  
 (1) The manual says it better than I do, please look there.
 (2) I'm too busy to answer you right now; try to find the answer
  yourself.
 (3) I don't know the answer to your question.
 (4) I've been asked this question too many times and I'm irritable.
  Find the answer yourself.

OPTIONS
 There are a number of options available when you have been told to
 RTFM:

 (1) Try the man pages.  (Or info, or --help)
  This is useful if you know the name of the command or
  application you are using.  Type "man " (without the quotes)
  followed by the name of the command.  For more information on
  man, (which is short for "manual") type "man man" (without the
  quotes.) 

  If you don't know the exact command you need, try using apropos
  or man -k to get a list of commands that do have man pages
  available. (eg "man -k rename")

  Also, sometimes there is more than one man page with the same
  name that might be listed like this: "hiccup(8)" To get to that
  particular page, use "man 8 hiccup".

  Similarly, you can use the "info" command to get more
  information on some applications, (type "info info" to learn
  more about info) and you can often use the --help or -h flag
  (eg "man --help") to get a quick summary of options.

 (2) Look for other documentation on your machine. 
  Try looking in /usr/doc or /usr/doc/HOWTO or other
  documentation directories.  (The location of the documentation
  will vary depending on how your system is setup.)

 (3) Look at the Linux Documentation Project.
   It can be found at http://www.linuxdoc.org/.  In fact, this is
  probably easier than looking for documentation on your system.

 (4) Search the web. 
  Try looking through archives to see if anyone else has asked
  the same question.  I suggest using Google
  (http://www.google.com/) for websearches or searching
  newsgroups using http://groups.google.com, but there are many
  other ways to do it.

  If your queries are coming up with information that doesn't
  help you, try including the search terms like "HOWTO", "FAQ" or
  "Guide". 

  If you're using a specific application, make sure to look up
  the webpage for that application.  And try to look at the
  homepage for your distribution (Eg: http://www.debian.org,
  http://www.redhat.com, http://www.slackware.com, etc.).  Often
  they have search engines of their own.

 (5) Rephrase your query.
  Maybe what you asked was too broad or wasn't well understood.
  Rather than just asking exactly the same thing again, try to
  explain yourself further, telling people what you've tried and
  what documentation you've already read.  Ask if anyone knows
  of a good HOW-TO or can direct you to a webpage.  As a rule,
  the more information you give about your problem the more
  likely someone is to be able to help, and people are much more
  willing to help you if you're showing that you're really
  interested in learning.

  If you've posted on a public forum, often there are many people
  listening to your query, so give them a chance to respond
  before giving up hope!

 (6) Ask a knowledgeable friend.
  If you know someone, they're more likely to feel guilty about
  brushing you off and telling you to read the manual.  It's not
  a bad idea to offer to make them dinner or do them a favour as
  a thank you!

Now i will talk about the new certification in industry but not so new actually.
This certification is called as Certified PE (Partner Engineer) from Sun Microsystem.
The PE Exam has 5 levels and within this three month i had to get

1. Why MITPE?
MITPE will give ‘value added’ service and strength to our Malaysian IT workforce, especially in
their knowledge and skill in information technology. This will ensure that they are competitive
and ready to face the global market.
Benefits of IT Professional Examination in Malaysia:

2. Is MITPE recognized by the IT industry?
Yes. The IT Skills Standard Committee has been established to ensure the IT curricula and
competency levels of IT professionals are of high standards meeting the demands of the IT
industry. The IT committee members comprises of MOHE, JPA, 17 public universities (IT
Council), Open University Malaysia, SIRIM, Pikom, MCMC, MDC, MAMPU and other private
entities. In addition, MITPE is automatically recognized by METI, Japan and thus allowing the
successful candidates to have a higher opportunity to work in Japanese firms based in
Malaysia.

3. Does MITPE bring benefits to employment?
With the changes that are continuously taking place in information technology today, the
purpose of the Malaysian Information Technology Professional Examination (“MITPE”) is to
promote both the development of IT professional skills and to evaluate those skills on the
basis of established criteria. To that end, MITPE accomplishes a comprehensive range of all
the skills standards required of IT professionals in the different categories of their expertise.
An IT professional who is qualified with the certification from MITPE will be automatically
recognized as a qualified IT Professional in other participating countries.

Dude, this is what is happening now in Malaysia. I know this throughout my colleague at ITTUTOR.NET forum they had been discussed about this Professional Recognition for IT Professional. Its like the Ir given to competend Engineer in Electrical or Civil or Mechanical. But in IT can we have this sort of professional recognition. Title: Mujo gok kite org Terengganu :)

Mujo or mujur in Standard Bahasa means "fortunate" or "lucky". In Terengganu it means more than that. Mujo is an attitude, a testament to the optimism of the Terengganu folks. I believe that Terengganu people are optimistic. I haven't heard of any suicides there yet. No news whatsoever of people jumping down from coconut trees or drinking expired budu (preserved anchovy thick sauce) neat in order to expire themselves.

You must remember that Terengganu people lived with ferries, morning papers that came in the night and other things people in the West Coast take for granted. In spite of doing without 4D shops, discos, malls or Hot Spot-enabled coffee houses, they are surviving well without any mental hospital in sight. All these are because they have mujo. Like I mentioned previously, mujo encapsulate a philosophy in itself. It means one should thank God that it is not worse.

If both legs were broken, the response would be "Mujo dok pecoh pala"(Lucky the head wasn't broken). If the head WAS broken, the response would be "Mujo dok mati" (Lucky he didn't die). If the worst happened and the brother died, the mujowould still surface. "Mujo lah bukang adik kita" (Lucky it wasn't my brother). You get the drift.....

Mujo. A nice word. Adopt it. Embrace it. It will preserve your sanity.

Tapi manusia diciptakan telah ditetapkan mengikut keadaan geografi baik penampilan fizikal, kulit dan bahasa sebab tu ada orang melayu orang cina orang india orang putih orang niger dan orang-orangan di sawah padi ops jangan gelak. Sebenarnya aku ada bakat menulis mungkin diperturunkan ikut DNA abah aku seorang penulis buku. Tidak kubicara sewenang kalau tidak ada idea. Every email has a so-called header. The header is the part in which the route the email has taken is being described. Since the header is rather ugly, it is normally hidden by the email programme. Every email programme can display them, though (look into the "Options" or "Preferences" menu).

The mail we use below is a typical, but not rather sophisticated example of faked email. Fortunately for us journalists, most people are not more sophisticated than this. You should however be aware of the fact, that there are much more sophisticated ways to fake mail.

Ten Steps to Wise Decision-Making

This process can be applied to any situation where you need to make an important decision. If you follow these ten basic steps, you will find yourself making wiser decisions, both in your professional as well as your personal life.

• Define, as specifically as possible, what the decision is that needs to be made. Is this really your decision or someone else's? Do you really need to make a decision? (If you do not have at least two options, there is no decision to be made.) When does the decision need to be made? Why is this decision important to you? Who will be affected by this decision? What values does this decision involve for you?

• Write down as many alternatives as you can think of. Brainstorm as many different alternatives as you can imagine. Let your imagination run free and try not to censure anything. This is not the time to be judgmental. Just be sure to write everything down.

• Think where you could find more information about possible alternatives. If you only come up with a few alternatives, you may want to get more information. Additional information generally leads to more alternatives. Places where you can look for the information you need include friends, family, clergy, co-workers, state and federal agencies, professional organizations, online services, newspapers, magazines, books, and so on.

• Check out your alternatives. Once you have a list of alternatives, use the same sources of information to find out more about the specifics of each option. You will find that the more information you gather, the more ideas will pop into your head. Be sure to write these down and check them out too.

• Sort through all of your alternatives. Now that you have your list of alternatives, it is time to begin evaluating them to see which one works for you. First, write down the values that would come into play for each alternative. Second, look for the alternatives which would allow you to use the greatest number of your values. Third, cross the alternatives off the list which do not fit into your personal value framework.

• Visualize the outcomes of each alternative. For each remaining alternative on your list, picture what the outcome of that alternative will look like. Here, too, it helps if you write out your impressions.

• Do a reality check. Which of your remaining alternatives are most likely to happen? Cross off those alternatives that most likely will not happen to you.

• Which alternative "fits" you? Review your remaining alternatives and decide which ones feel most comfortable to you. These are your wise decisions. If you are very happy about a decision, but are not as comfortable with its possible outcome, this is a clue that this is not a wise decision for you. On the other hand, you may dislike an alternative, but be very excited about the possible outcome. This decision would probably not be wise for you either. If you feel you can live with both the alternative as well as the possible outcome, this is the wise decision you should follow.

• Get started! Once you have made your decision, get moving on it. Worrying or second-guessing yourself will only cause you grief. You have done your very best for the present. You always have the option of changing your mind in the future if you want to. Remember, no decision is set in stone.

• How is it going? Be sure to review your decision at specified points along the road. Are the outcomes what you expected? Are you happy with the outcomes? Do you want to let the decision stand or would you like to make some adjustments? If the decision did not come out the way you planned, go through the complete decision-making process again. In the process, answer the following questions. Did I not have enough information? What values actually came into play? Were they my values or someone else's? Remember, you can always change your mind!

It’s hard to believe that a few words could irritate someone enough to make them stop reading your resume, but it’s true. Some hiring managers and recruiters admit that they have their own mental lists of words that annoy them. Resume how-to books may recommend that you pack your resume full of as many verbs, adjectives, and adverbs as you can. But if you aren't careful, you could turn off more prospective employers than you entice. Effective word choice is what really appeals to hiring managers—not action verbs and glittery modifiers.
